The singer just released his new solo album Celtic Blues. Jean-Jacques Goldman's friend signs a back to basics with natural blues songs. With his way, full of collaborations, Michael Jones follows his musical way in solo.
Michael Jones' new album is a real come-back to blues. The singer proposed 13 songs, 2 of them are in French. The singer's voice goes well on 13 songs, authentic & not artificial.
Born in 1952 to a Welsh father & a mother from Normandy, Michael Jones wanted to be a mechanic. Learning drums then guitar, he founded his first band Urban District Council Dib Dob Band in 1966. At 19, he moved to France & didn't left it after. In 1977, he met Jean-Jacques Goldman, as a guitarist in the band Taï Phong. Michael left the band in 1980, founded the band Gulfstream, produced by William Sheller & got involved in projects.
1983 was an important year. Jean-Jacques Goldman wrote "Viens" under the moniker Sweet Memories, Michael Jones collaborated with "Comme Toi" singer & Carole Fredericks joined them. In 1985, Michael & Jean-Jacques wrote & performed "Je Te Donne". The trio Fredericks Goldman Jones started in 1990 & ended 5 years later. Close to Jean-Jacques Goldman, Michael Jones went solo again. He released À Consommer Sans Modération in 1997 & Prises Et Reprises in 2004. With Erick Benzi, Gildas Arzel & Christian Séguret, he founded the band El Club, which album came out on June 4, 2007.
Celtic Blues signs the singer's come-back, discreet & talentful at the same time. He's currently on tour.
