Grégoire Colard & Alain Morel published a beautiful book, paying tribute to a late French singer-songwriter, Michel Berger : "L'Etoile Au Coeur Brisé". Discover it in bookshops.

After the show aired on France 2 in April, hosted by France Gall for the 30th birthday of "Starmania", a book about the composer, Michel Berger, is available. Michel Berger was born on November 28, 1947 in Neuilly-sur-Seine & died on August 2, 1992 in Ramatuelle, of a heart attack after a tennis match.

The 2 writers, Grégoire Colard & Alain Morel, talk about the origin of "Starmania", with doubts, drama & success & also Michel Berger's love with Véronique Sanson & France Gall, until his despair for his daughter Pauline, who died after him.

Michel Berger let a legacy in French music, with rhythmic & melancholic songs. The young generation covered the songs of this talented singer-songwriter, from Véronique Sanson to Françoise Hardy, from Lââm in 1998 with "Chanter Pour Ceux Qui Sont Loin De Chez Eux" to Star Academy in 2002 with "Musique" (originally sung by France Gall). Songs from his musical "Starmania" were also covered : Grégory Lemarchal with "SOS D'Un Terrien En Détresse", Peter Kingsbery with "Only The Very Best" (English version of this song, from the musical "Tycoon", English version of "Starmania"), Cyndi Lauper with "The World Is Stone" (English version of "Le Monde Est Stone") & Céline Dion with "Ziggy (Un Garçon Pas Comme Les Autres)". All sang him & will sing him.

This book reveals the passionate life of a man, who unveiled himself in his songs only. Grégoire Colard & Alain Morel, who have followed him for years, light his genius, his drama & his happiness... Grégoire Colard & Alain Morel have also written the best-seller "France Gall, Le Destin D'Une Star Courage" (Flammarion) in 2007.
