 Interviewed by RTBF, Michel Fugain shoots on those who move ! Bénabar but also Cali, Mathieu Chedid, Benjamin Biolay... Mister Fugain, isn't it too raw ?
Recently interviewed by RTBF (Belgium), Michel Fugain gave his point of view on new generation artists. He doesn't take risks ! Ladies & gentlemen, it's going to start !
"I think there are little j*rks in it, I really say it, they think they can do everything, they know everything. They're wrong because they know too few things. Do they know we had heard wonderful things, us, for years ? How do they think they're going to impress ? They only talk about their belly-button !" he said.
During his real TV show on M6, 3 years ago, Mister Fugain said : "I'm an artist & you, you're nothing !"
The singer said about many artists : "Cali, I got enough hope with this guy... His evolution is too much. Bénabar, I keep waiting... I don't wanna say it's not good... But is he going to tell us something else than daily life ?" (NB : easy, Lio did it too...) He continued : "Mathieu Chedid ? Is he going to sing one day ?" (NB : Michel, have you heard "Onde Sensuelle" or "Ma Mélodie" ?) At last : "Benjamin Biolay ? For me he's the worst" (NB : again, have you heard Elodie Frégé's "La Ceinture", written & composed by Biolay, with a catchy melody & awarded with the UNAC prize in 2007 ?).
It's full of regret to read your raw words, Mister Fugain. After that, your beautiful songs like "Je N'Aurai Pas Le Temps", "Fais Comme L'Oiseau", "Chaque Jour De Plus" & "Forteresse" won't have the same taste anymore...
