Mika Mika's next album, named The Origin Of Love, should come out in late 2012. The singer tells everything about its story & the influences to write 12 new songs. Confessions of a sincere artist !

It's not for tomorrow ! Although the first single came out in July, Mika's third album will be available next year. That's what the singer wrote on his blog. A hit on radio & on TV, thanks to the video woith Fanny Ardant, "Elle Me Dit" has become one of his greatest hits. With this song, "Relax, Take It Easy" singer took the risk of singing in French for the first time, despite bad critics around him.

A song written with his friend Doriand, after one year of writer's block, for lack of time & because of his marathon tour (2009) : "For much time, I've wanted to write in French, I phoned to my friend Doriand, a lyricist & I asked him whether he wanted to go to studios during one week. In February, we moved to La Fabrique, in Provence. We wrote songs in the daytime & I slept in the studio for the nighttime. In 3 days, we wrote "82, Rue Des Martyrs", "Blame It On The Weather" & "Elle Me Dit". Suddenly, after 12 months of writer's block, I felt like I could write again & songs were good" he said.

Watch the video for "Elle Me Dit" here.

Which direction to go on ? Mika reveals his inspirations & his themes for his next album. "I found the concept. I wanted to write 12 love songs, honestly, as brutal as possible. Fear not, there is no smooth sounding e-piano anywhere on the record. I wanted to write love songs as if I never listened to them. Of course, I'm a megalomaniac, but why not ? If I couldn't allow myself to do that, so I could lock myself in fear. I'd rather pretend to be a prince than a prisoner."

Fear : the singer felt it because of his sister's tragic accident. "In October 2010, my sister Paloma had an horrible accident. In the following months, my family life has been overwhelmed. This tragic event has been an occasion to change & we changed." This change has been shown with travels in great cities, to work with famous songwriters & producers. Mika collaborated with Nick Littlemore for "Underwater" before founding the exact words for the song "Origin Of Love" : "I decided to write the most honest love song. Easy concept : forget the Bible & all the religious fairytales, the only thing I know is my love for you. Forget God, forget Adam & Eve, it's you, you are the origin of love."

Many artists collaborated to Mika's third album. The singer revealed a list : Klas Åhlund, Benny Benassi, Billboard, Doriand, Fryars, Ellie Goulding, Wayne Hector, Hillary Lindsay, Nick Littlemore, William Orbit, Priscilla Renea, Martin Solveig, Paul Steel, Greg Wells & Pharrell Williams. Each of different nationalities, so let's bet the best. To be continued !
