You can really tell when a song is done by a band, or if the band is a band. OK, eg, Evanescence-she could go solo and no-one would know the difference because they don't sound like a band. I heard Michael Buble sing it on Parkinson last night, and when I heard the first "Birds in the sky" I sat bolt upright (coz at the time I didn't know it was a cover) and then at "You know how I feel" I'm like "NO WAY!! YOU CANNOT DO THAT TO MUSE!!!" but then I thought, and figured because Michael Buble does covers, and I guessed he's not likely to cover something that is known for being done by a band like Muse (different styles, you know...) I thought maybe Muse covered it too. I came on here to see if I'm right.
Muse's version is still the best, the catchiest, the most dramatic. They seriously rock. So who did the original? |
