| Born & Raised: Born Taalib Johnson on September 16, 1977 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Raised mostly in Philadelphia. Early Life: Musiq was one of 10 children. His parents had nine boys and one girl, with Musiq - or Taalib, as he was known growing up - being one of the middle children.
