If you guys want to know the story behind this song is that Gerard Way's ex-girlfriend back in college killed herself. And gerard wanted to express his feelings in this song. honestly. no one has EVER written a better song. EVER. BEST SONG EVER WRITTEN. i always think it's funny how he keeps saying saying way down...and he and mikey are WAY's. lol....i think it's ironic. maybe they meant to. i doubt it, wow. w-o-w. this song is what i call....the best song ever. instead of this is the best day ever...it's this is the best song ever...by my chem....xD

6 posts | rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal ok, so I love this song, I personally think its the best song theyve ever made. ugh, the black parade, is NOT very good and NOT what i expected from them... anyways, ive never really understood this song, like to me, i kind of interpreted it, as him telling like the story (sorta) of him killing his lover cuz she was seeing another guy ie her husband...cuz of the "back home, off the run" part. and then him feeling guilty for it and being suicidal because of it. idk its confusing like that. they need to make a music video for this song, it would be the coolest video ha ha. |

band was writing about Gerard's and Mikey's Granny being suicidal but defenitly this song talks about suicidal. And then I thought about Gerard's and Mikey's grandma still not being away because they've made "Helena" in her honor. So...I also thought about Gerard being depressed and just writing his thoughts and feelings (just like xcemeterydrivex had mention) But....I think gothicgirl has the whole meaning to it. But anyways I thought I would give my opinion and YES! this song is awesome and depressing but good. well anyways MCR you keep the good work up and hope to see you around!

Um yea when I first heard this song I thought it was about breaking up then I thought of the suicide thing and that made it even sadder for me because if it was a break up you've still got a chance.. But death is forever and you can NEVER get the person back... |
