Najoua Belyzel recently said that she wanted to become close to an emotional artist. Mylène Farmer ? No, too easy. The singer covers "Viens, Viens", a hit from 1973 by... Marie Laforêt.
In 1973, Marie Laforêt covered a German title written by Swen Linus & H.R. Barnes under the name "Viens, Viens" & it became one of her biggest hits. In 2008, Najoua Belyzel takes it back, it will be included on her new album scheduled for 2009.
On her new album, the singer will give a vision of female power, where women are beauty and men are... harm. She continues her own songs, like those from her first album ("Docteur Gel", "Bons Baisers De Paris", "Mon Sang Le Tien"...). Among the songs from this new CD, there will be "L'Âme Exilée", "Je N'Y Peux Rien", "La Trêve De L'Amour", "Au Féminin" & "Viens, Viens". Like the first one, this album has been done by Christophe Casanave & the singer, all sincere.
Let's say that Najoua Belyzel's way is similar to Mylène Farmer's one. Even if she has been compared to the red-haired woman, the singer doesn't admit it. Mylène Farmer also covered a Marie Laforêt song in 1989, "Je Voudrais Tant Que Tu Comprennes"...
