 After "La Bienvenue", "M (Hey Hey Hey)" is the new single from Najoua Belyzel's new album Au Féminin. A tribute to Mylène Farmer : listen to a short clip !
"Jérémie", "L'Âme Exilée", "La Trêve", "Ma Sainte-Nitouche", her hit "Quand Revient L'Eté" in string quartet version, her duet with Marc Lavoine, "Viola" & her single "La Bienvenue" (about the undesired child, theme very rare), all these songs should have been included on Najoua Belyzel's second album Au Féminin, released on November 23. "M (Hey Hey Hey)" is a song about her comparison to Mylène Farmer... "I wanted to make things right. "M (Hey Hey Hey)" is dedicated to Mylène Farmer. But it's a way to tell her that I respect her, I respect her work & I don't envy her. Now, my position hasn't changed since last time, I know the singer of course, but not really her work, even if I took the time to read the subject, because I use "Tristana" & "XXL" in the lyrics... We've got some similar themes, some arrangements too, but we stop here. I'd like to say stop to my fans & hers, who compare us each other. It makes me sad because we haven't asked anything, her or me. You know, there are even wars between fans, it has become anything else & I'd like to stop this" she said during an interview in September.

Maybe a hit, the video has been shot, it should be followed by "Ma Sainte-Nitouche", which video has been shot at the same time. Au Féminin will be the follow-up of Entre Deux Mondes, released in 2006 & including 3 hits, "Gabriel" (N°3), "Je Ferme Les Yeux" (N°13) & "Comme Toi" (N°16)...
This new album will be made by Christophe Casanave (who composed Marc Lavoine's "Toi Mon Amour" & "La Semaine Prochaine") & Najoua Belyzel again, with new sounds, sometimes psychedelic, often electro/pop, with sweet & poetic words. Between violins & flutes, synths & sitar.
Also, the winner of the remix contest for the single "M (Hey Hey Hey)", with 1,000 € given, will be revealed soon. To be continued...
