Seriously...I was just listening to Nickel Creek- When in Rome, and i thought to myself...I want to know what this song means, and i didnt think of that saying, "When in Rome, do as the Romans" and as i was looking at the lyrics i saw the button to post a comment.. an so i wanted to see what other people had written .. and i see the 2 previous comments.. it was intense.. it was like.. there ... for me to see.. lol..awesome.. thanks.. b.c now i have a new found appreciation for Nickel Creek's Talent ... hmm..

my favorite part of the song is:

if they spent a lifetime learning how to live in rome"
it means that if you spend a lifetime learning how to live according to other people's beliefs, you will never feel at home because you are not following your own path and building your own set of values and beliefs. |
