Song lyrics
Toll no bell for me Father
But let this cup of suffering pass from me
Send me no shepherd to heal my world
But the Angel - the dream foretold
Prayed more than thrice for you to see
The wolf of loneliness in me
...not my own will but Yours be done...

You wake up where's the tomb?
Will Easter come, enter my room?
The Lord weeps with me
But my tears fall for you

Another Beauty
Loved by a Beast
Another tale of infinite dreams
Your eyes they were my paradise
Your smile made my sun rise

Forgive me for I don't know what I gain
Alone in this garden of pain
Enchantment has but one truth:
I weep to have what I fear to lose

You wake up where's the tomb?
Will Easter come, enter my room?
The Lord weeps with me
But my tears fall for you

I knew you never before
I see you never more
But the love the pain the hope O beautiful one
Have made you mine 'till all my years are done

Without you
The poetry within me is dead

Gethsemane is an incredible gothic/rock band......They bring chills down my spine with their incredible sense of composure, music and form. If you love this song, check out "ocean soul" by them....or Tristania's "My lost lenore". Hit me up on my AIM at Darcdante....we have much in common and I have all their music on MP3 that I am more than willing to share/transfer.

Darkdante.

I wonder if Gethsemane has a meaning? I have this song but it's named Gothic Sanctuary, so maybe there is some kinda connection? Maybe it means that in another language...

I thought gethsemane was the name of the place where Jesus was crucified?

Either way this song is strange, its a good song but somehow i just cant be bothered with it most days

Gethsemane is the place where Jesus praid to God that he didn't whanted 2 get crucified.

"But let this cup of suffering pass from me" is a quote from Mark 14:36

The place where Jesus was crucified is called Golgata

Sry if this was way 2 off topic

I agree with u that this song is really beautiful and the music is very well composed1

Gethsemane is where Jesus prayed to His father that he didn't wanted to get crucified there.
This is a very personal song for Tuomas as he has stated in an interview I once read.
And you can see, how he expresses himself. And lets out so much stuff.
Tuomas is a modern age Shakespeare. Except better.
Like a combination of Shakespeare and Beethoven
And this song. Its just amazing, I love the part: "Without you, the poetry within me is dead"
I wonder, if all this songs that Tuomas makes.
Were they meant to Tarja ? Or someone else in his life ... ?
I think everyone wonders that. The same way that everyone thinks Everdream was written for Tarja.
