See the animal in his cage that you built
Are you sure what side you're on?
Better not look him too closely in the eye
Are you sure what side of the glass you are on?
See the safety of the life you have built
Everything where it belongs
Feel the hollowness inside of your heart
And it's alright where it belongs
What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection
Is it all you want it to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks
Would you find yourself, find yourself afraid to see?
What if all the world's inside of your head?
Just creations of your own
Your devils and your gods all the living and the dead
And you're really all alone
You can live in this illusion
You can choose to believe
You keep looking but you can't find the words
Are you hiding in the trees?
What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you used to know
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection
Is it all you want it to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks
Would you find yourself, find yourself afraid to see?

vocal So far my fave track from the new album. It has that special way of dragging you in to another world in the only way that NIN can Great lyrics and a great song. I just love it!

vocal This is a great song. "Right Where It Belongs" is to With Teeth what "Hurt" was to The Downward Spiral and what "Something I Can Never Have" was to Pretty Hate Machine. After screaming with anger for the better part of the CD, this is the song created by Reznor to express feelings that go beyond anger.

vocal Oh my, I love this song. While I love NIN's older stuff so much better than the With Teeth material (but that doesn't make it awful - anything NIN is great), this is the song on the album I can listen to over and over again just like I would with Hurt or Something I Can Never Have. I love the idea that he's trying to express - for I've always thought about it too. What if we don't exsist? Or rather, our exsistance is based on fictional thinking? We could be making up countless things: religion, rules, right and wrong, even ourselves. Maybe it's all an illusion.
Ah, anyway, this song is beautiful, absoulutely amazing. NIN can always suck me into another world or change my mood simply when I listen to one song. And this one especially makes me feel euphoric, because of the first time I listened to it, and it reminds me of certain things. It's just brilliant. But I would expect nothing less from Nine Inch Nails.

vocal This song is truly amazing. Even without the lyrics it just makes you think about things....This is my favorite Reznor song, no matter how good any of his other material is, nothing can compare with this song...
