| Nouvelle Star is the French version of the TV show "Pop Idol". It appeared in 2003 on the channel M6. At the beginning, its name was "A La Recherche De La Nouvelle Star", but it was shortened the following year. Benjamin Castaldi hosted it from 2003 to 2006, he has been replaced by Virginie Efira from June 2006 to June 2008 & since 2009, Virginie Guilhaume is the new host.
