| Heh, i was just about to start this discussion... You hit it on the nose though.. That CD is phenomenol.
I never liked Champage Supernova...
My favorite songs are Don't Look back In Anger, Wonderwall, Cast No Shadow, and my absolute favorite might be Some Might Say.
Great band, their new CD kinda sucked though | 0 @ 09-07-2006 20:51 Amythest | 5,464 posts
| Even though they've only made 3 good albums their whole career, they're still amazing and my childhood taste in music would not have been the same without them. my copy of (What's The Story) Morning Glory? is about 8 years old and i've never gotten bored of it, they're just an excellent Beatles tribute band! | 0 @ 09-07-2006 21:21 Rise | 560 posts
| Awww, so many decent tracks, although I do agree that their post-1999 stuff hasn't been great. You can just reel off so many decent songs;
Dont Look Back, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Sunday Morning Call, Live Forever, Whatever, Stand By Me, All Around The World, Cigarettes & Alcohol... | 0 @ 09-07-2006 22:02 lostxXxconfused | 28 posts
| i loved champagne supernova... it kind of reminded me of all the times my friends ditched me when were were supposed to do stuff... theyre a good band | 0 @ 10-07-2006 00:41 cairowinters | 3,421 posts
| I love Oasis (even though thy think a bit too much of themselves). I don't know any of their songs from the middle of their career, but they're supposed to be the ones that suck anyway - though I'll still check them out to decide for myself eventually.
My favourite songs are Don't Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova, and Wonderwall. | 0 @ 10-07-2006 02:05 random_guy | 7,534 posts
| From the middle of their career, you'd want to look at:
D'you know what I mean
Who feels love
Stand by me
The girl in the dirty shirt
I hope, I think, I know
Oasis are possibly my favourite band now. Not all of their recent stuff is mediocre, Heathen Chemistry was good, and every odd numbered track in Dont Believe the Truth were also good. | 0 @ 10-07-2006 02:20 cairowinters | 3,421 posts

| Hey, Oh my how amazing r Oasis? I have been into them for so long and i dont know 1 person who doesnt love their music.
I think their music is Ace! I now think Oasis have made a category of music of their own 'Oasis Music' because they have truely made their own style throughout their years.
Morning Glory is by far the best album they have made. Stand by me, morning call, slide away, live forever are all other songs which are just quality.
I also think people who bitch about their 'fake' image are complete nutters. I am from manchester and grew up in Burnage just around the corner from Noel and Liam and know for sure they have always been little shits lol trust me. But i think this bad boy image they carry is to do with rock and roll and without that image i dont think they would be as cool and indie rock as they are now.
As for their new stuff i think its under rated! If u just actually listen to lyrics u will realise that it is awesome some stuff. |
