Oasis, who should have performed at the festival Rock En Seine yesterday (August 28), cancelled their concert at the last minute & also the rest of their European tour, following a feud between the members of the British band. The end ? Not sure...
The British band Oasis cancelled their concert, yesterday evening at the festival Rock En Seine, in front of 30,000 people. Officially, there is a feud between the band members. The cancellation has been shown to the audience on the giant screen. "Following a feud within the band, Oasis' concert is cancelled". According to Internet surfers who were at the place, the audience booed this decision. Oasis has been replaced by Madness.
The organisers also said that the British band cancelled the rest of their European tour. French people don't have this chance, the band cancelled a concert at Paris' Bataclan on September 30, 2008. Should it be the beginning of the end for the Gallagher brothers ?
It's the third time for the festival that a concert is cancelled at the last minute. In 2007 & 2008, Amy Winehouse did it. "We're finding a solution to pay it" the organisers said. Despite this, the festival Rock En Seine will take place until August 30.
Dig Out Your Soul, Oasis' seventh album, recorded in London, mixed in Los Angeles & produced by Dave Sardy, came out in October 2008. It's the follow-up of Don't Believe The Truth, released in 2005. The album includes 11 songs : 6 by Noel, 3 by Liam, one by Andy & one by Gem. The sleeve for Dig Out Your Soul has been designed by Julian House, who has previously worked with The Prodigy.
