 44 posts | "Ocean Eyes" is a perfect title for this album. You almost can feel the salty breeze on a sunny summer day, when you listen to these songs. Even if one of the songs lyrics are about snow, you still feel warm.
In my opinion, songs are in a perfect order.. don't know if they thought of that when they made the album. Rhythm in these songs are gripping. If you listen to this album while on a public place, be warned - you might look funny while dancing your ass off! 
Melodies are surprising and refreshing, along with the lyrics they form a beautiful harmony and and creates new sensations. Owl City doesn't use much of traditional instruments, but makes music work anyway. Would be interesting to know how they'd sound unplugged. Vocals suit these songs extremely well. His voice has a unique sound and he knows how to use it to get the best result. It would be crazy if none of these songs got to be hits, 'cause they are so delightful, happy and overall loaded with positivity. I'm sold - gimme some more!!  |
