Panic! At The Disoc is such an awesome band name.
PATD are quite hot-sounding, but their emo tendencies worry me. Overlooking that of course, we have thoroughly enjoyable music that gets stuck in my head way too often.

| i'm not really sure where to start with these guys. i picked up the cd the first week it came out after hearing a song on the internet somewhere. and the cd was great for the first few weeks. then it just kind of died and went away.. a couple months later and they are all over the place on tv with a music video and all sorts of other jazz, it was very weird for me because by the time they started getting popular i had already forgotten about them. long story short is that it is a great cd with a very low replayability factor, which was quite disappointing. | | 0 @ 11-07-2006 11:42 xOxmeliixOx | 7 posts

| I really really dislike them. One of the things that annoys me the most is the the length of the song titles. Some of them are so long it's a waste to say it all. They are also quite possible the most overrated band as of right now. Granted some people find they're songs catchy, when it comes down to it, they are no where near the best band. | I knew of them before their sudden success..
Their CD is awesome. I think they chose terrible songs to promote as singles, although their next single is going to be great. Their videos suck, especially with all the masks and shit.

everyone is annoying with the 'they sound just like ..... '... if they were a complete rip off they would have been sued.. blah blah.. and well I mean come on.. it's the 'style of music' .. and the 'rip off band' .. most refered to is the one that hit them off.
The song titles.. are fun.. are different... interesting.. they have character.. better than something like 'bleed' .. or 'I'm a dirty whore'.. I mean come on.
They have an awesome just .. character about them... charisma.. I love the lead singers voice... their approach to the subjects they are singing about.. and they are catchy... catchy tunes that stick with you.

just because they are popular .. doesn't mean they are trying to take over the title 'best band ever'... they must have something or people wouldn't enjoy them as much as they do.
over rated?.. no.. ehh maybe if one of the band members killed themselves and they only found fame because of the 'mourning for popularity' fad came into play... they are a band.. that picked up a torch during a major musical trend.. and they are good at what they do.
the videos.. the masks? haha that one with the wedding.. ha I loved it... better than some other lame do dad sort of video.. why do we plead that every video be the same?... or every band fit the mold of those that we consider great?..... our 'greats' that we have now started a mold of their own.. why should we expect anything more from those that what to also achieve greatness?

| i agree with someof these things that people are saying, but panic! at the disco is amazing. i will always love them and have loved them before they became all "famous" and shit. i hate when good bands sell-out but they're not doing that. they just are doing what they set out to do. have fun and make music. which is why i love them. they're real and they write their own songs which is what i envy about ryan ross and pete wentz because their lyrics are amazing. one thing that kind of annoys me is the masks and like boring themes. i like the i write sins, not tragedies video, but i was dissapointed when i saw the same similar theme mask thing on the but it;s better if you do. no doubt i still like them, but i wish they would be a little more different.
overall i am a huge fan of them!

| I really like their music. People say they are not original.... I doubt they got into the music industry to be original, they did it to make music. I personally don't care wether they are original or not. I purely judge a band on their ability to sing, perform and make good music.
Panic! at the Disco are unique and their videos are nothing but original... Yes, the theme of masks carried on in But It's Better If You Do, why does that matter? Their new video for Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off [I don't know if that's the correct title, but it's something like that] is amazing. The whole fish tank concept is great. I worship that video and hold it as my favourite video ever.

| these guys have very cacthy songs. its time to dance is the best. i love all the electronic stuff in their album. i agree that they havent released good songs tho but the rest are great .

| Dear Not so Fans of Panic!
I have come to see that many people are not fans of panic! at the disco because of their either "emo tendencies" or whatever. Well in response to this I'd just like to say the following:
I too doubted Panic! and called them emo when I first heard "I Write sins not trajedies."
- But then.. I heard another song "But its better if you do" and I thought it was pretty catchy and didnt hear much emoness.
- So then I thought, wow... why did I think they were emo? Probably jsut because of that one song (Also because of his high pitched singing voice but meh, other bands do that too and they aint emo)
- After that I looked up a few songs and they were very good.
- Now I am listening to them everyday and hope to see em in concert some time because I have fallen for a lot of their songs
So please, listen to a few other songs before you judge panic! because really, imo, I think I write sins not trajedies is their worst song. Also, dont call em emo cuz of the way they look or because of their singing... Because if u do you will probably block em out and not listen to em.
