“SHE IS LOVE,” FIRST SINGLE – HEARD ON NIVEA – STARTS ON iTUNES FEB. 10th

Parachute VA on-tour with Jon McLaughlin – follow-up to their performances at Island Def Jam House Of Hype during Sundance Fest last weekend

(February 3, 2009 – New York, NY) Straight outta Charlottesville, Virginia, in the shade of the Blue Ridge Mountains, comes Parachute VA on Mercury Records. Currently on tour with fellow IDJ artist Jon McLaughlin (see show dates below), Parachute VA will release “She Is Love” as their first lead single on iTunes starting February 10th, in full band (album) and acoustic versions. Check out both versions of “She Is Love” at Parachute VA’s MySpace website, http://www.myspace.com/parachuteva, which launched on December 29th.

Tens of thousands of New Year’s Eve revelers at Times Square in New York City got an early look at Parachute VA., when they kicked off the annual six-hour celebration with a live performance (including “She Is Love”) on the Nivea Countdown Stage at Duffy Island on 46th Street. It was the prelude to Nivea’s hourly “Kiss And Be Kissed” practice ritual at the Nivea platform a block away. Lead single “She Is Love” (in its acoustic and album versions) has been picked up by Nivea for a new series of commercial spots running through February.
