Pascal Obispo was born on January 8, 1965 in Bergerac, France. He is the son of a professional football player from Bordeaux. As a child, he wanted to become a basketball player but his parents divorced and Pascal followed his mother in Rennes. There, he discovered a passion for music. In 1988, he was the bassist of his first band Senso, recorded a 7" and signed to Epic. In 1992, he released his album Plus Que Tout Au Monde that was an instant success, like the title-song.
He went on tour the following year. In 1994, he released the album Un Jour Comme Aujourd'Hui : 400,000 albums sold, a tour in 60 high schools & Céline Dion's first part, Pascal became a great artist. Late 1996, Superflu was a success with 1 million albums sold. Pascal started composing for many artists : Zazie, Johnny Hallyday, Florent Pagny, Patricia Kaas & Calogero. He did many projects at the same time.
In 1999, he started working with Elie Chouraqui on the musical "Les Dix Commandements". The same year, he married model Isabelle Funaro and their son Sean was born in October 2000. He also got involved with Line Renaud in a project against AIDS, with the album Ensemble recorded with 100 artists. In January 2001, Pascal received his first award, a NRJ Music Award for "French Male Artist". In 2002, he reunited 41 countries on the project "Love United" with football stars against AIDS.
In 2003, Pascal came back on stage with a concept single, "Fan", on which he showed admiration for Michel Polnareff. The second single was about the new generation hero, Zinedine Zidane. In March 2004, the double album Fan contained a studio album and a live album. 2 years after, he released the album Les Fleurs Du Bien, with a great production on songs like "Rosa" & "Sur La Voix Ferré". Pascal is one of the most talented songwriters in French music.
