Tonight at 8:50pm on France 3, from Moscow, Russia, Mademoiselle will represent France for Eurovision Song Contest 2009, with "Et S'Il Fallait Le Faire". Bookmakers already bet on her, she'd be in the Top 5 : what if she won ?
Since Marie Myriam with "L'Oiseau Et L'Enfant" in 1977, France hasn't won Eurovision Song Contest. That was 32 years ago... After that, some have been good, like Joëlle Ursull, N°2 with "White And Black Blues" in 1990, written by Serge Gainsbourg (he also wrote France Gall's "Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son", winner in 1965). The following year, Amina has been N°2 with "Le Dernier Qui A Parlé", behind the Swede Carola. In 2001, Natasha St-Pier has been N°4 with "Je N'Ai Que Mon Âme" & in 2002, Sandrine François has been N°5 with "Il Faut Du Temps".
After ? France has been in the last places, with Ortal, Virginie Pouchain, Les Fatals Picards & Sébastien Tellier.
This year, the producers & France Télévisions have chosen Patricia Kaas, very popular in Eastern Europe, let's hope she'll influence votes. The singer will perform tonight in Moscow, with the first single from her new album, "Et S'Il Fallait Le Faire". Whereas the song is beautiful & nicely written, it seems that it's little nice after one listening. Don't forget that the jury has 3 minutes to listen & note.

Let's cross fingers &... The best will win !
