This song c´est trés belle!!! once upon a time I was with my girl in a tribute to Pearl jam, here in brazil, and when the singer sang this song she said to me: " I Love You" I don´t no why, but I answered her the same thing. And it was true...I love black!!!!

Freekaleekgirl the answer to you question is that the line is "star" not "sun", its a common mistake and most people argue on it but its definately "star" (pearl jam are the best band ever)

It's just one of those songs that is so great that there are no words to sum it up. Beautiful, wonderful, awesome, great, superb, amazing - it would take all of those words and alot more to give it a full summary. * offtopic : My favourite four songs of all time are Black by Pearl Jam, Would by Alice in Chains, Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots and The Day I Tried To Live by Soundgarden. I think anyone who enjoyed Black should have a listen to those other songs I mentioned (Unless you already have)
