So if you are a die hard fan of PF think about Syd strolling in the studio durong the recording it's almost like he is there in person.............Chilling and truly stunning song God rest his soul  tear down the walls. |

He left the band on rather good terms and was greatly respected by the rest of the band members, especially waters who wrote this song.... by the way one of the band's best songs ever!!! R.I.P Syd |

7 posts | As Jon10 said, crazy stuff, but heck, I love that crazy stuff, "apples&oranges" "see emily play" and Syd's best song ever, "Interstellar Overdrive"(which is said to be the best psychedelic song EVER made! Syd was amazing, and if he just would stop doing those drugs maybe he could be alive today

7 posts | PF became PF as a better band without Syd B. Well, Syd was most into painting and stuff. The music he wanted the band to play was really strange. In the end the other bandmembers stop to call him, he was way off anyway. So its really without Syd B the band became PF as we all know PF. Syd B rest in peace. In the end, he was the founder of the band. Sorry, hardcore fans. Have you listen to the songs with Syd? Crazy stuff. |

I think Dark Side and Wish You Were Here, as well as some other music from different bands is the only thing keeping me going. Glad to know some other people are similarly touched by Floyd, easily in the top 5 of rock's greatest, if not the best. |

He was their lead guitarist and wrote most of their early hits, but he went crazy from taking to much LSD and was kicked out of the band. So anyway he wrote their songs while he was stoned or trippin so thats why thay are so Phsycidallic and random. |
