Just like Aerosmith some days ago, Placebo cancelled their North American tour. The band leader, Brian Molko, must rest after he has caught an illness during a concert in Japan. Back to his London home, the singer must rest during 6 weeks. "It's very devastating for all of us. In 14 years, Placebo only cancelled 3 dates. But Brian's health is important" the band's manager said.

However, Placebo should perform at the Pukkelpop on August 21. According to the festival's organisers, the band agreed to come. The singer will start his rest after this latest Belgian date...

The British band's sixth album Battle For The Sun is still available. It's the follow-up of Meds, released 3 years ago. Recorded during 3 months & produced by Dave Bottrill in his studio in Toronto, mixed by Alan Moulder in London, this album is like a renewal for the band, Brian Molko said it during a recent interview.
