AboutRaised in the tough urban environment of San Diego, California, this rapcore outfit (the acronym stands for Payable On Death) was formed in 1992 by Marcos (guitar) and Wuv (drums). Wuv's cousin Sonny Sandoval (vocals) joined the duo shortly afterwards, as the band built up a strong regional reputation in the local punk clubs, including the now defunct Soma, playing support slots to visiting bands including Green Day, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Cypress Hill. The band, which by now included bass player Traa, formed their own independent label, Rescue Records. Their independent releases, Snuff The Punk, Brown, and Live, developed their highly aggressive fusion of metal, hardcore and hip-hop, although the band's born-again Christian faith remained central to their music. The success of Brown, which sold over 30,000 units, led to the band signing a deal with Atlantic Records in August 1998. They recorded their major label debut in Hollywood with producer Howard Benson. The band found the time to issue an independent release, The Warriors EP, before The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown appeared in August 1999. The band's ferocious live sound and spiritual determination appeared undimmed by their new major label status, and the album deservedly broke into the Billboard Top 200 shortly after its release. Their second major label recording, 2001's Satellite, was even more successful, achieving platinum status within weeks of its release.

first of all they are Christians 100% and im sure of it 100% and no they never used any foul language in their songs or swear and im sure 100% and pod is payable on death (Duuh) and the reason that sonny Sandoval (vocalist) does not swear or any of that because when pod first started (in 1992 by Noah bernardo jr. AKA wuv (drummer) and Marcos curiel (guitarist) then sonny joined 2 months) Sonnys songs were based on his surprisingly mothers death (bless her soul) and so he promised not to use foul languages in his song and make his mother proud, blaa...blaa..blaaa.

Anyways after a year (1993) Mark traa daniels AKA TRaa (bassist) joined the band releasing their first album Snuff the punk(1994) which was followed Brown (1996) which was also followed by Warriors EP(1998). Then came their hit album The Fundamental elements of Southtown(1999) which hit Platinum, then came their masterpiece Satellite(2001) which hit more than triple platinum and then came out Payable on death (2003) which is platinum already and --> rising.

POD made a biography cd called Maximum POD (2004).

POD made a couple of soundtracks which include Whatever it takes(dont know which movie)
School of Hardknocks (Little Nicky<-- great movie!)
Sleeping Awake (Matrix Reloaded)

Members of POD: Since POD started (1992) it consisted of sonny Sandoval, mark traa daniels, Marcos curiel and Noah bernardo jr. (WUV), in 2002 The guitarist Marcos curiel left the band, it was not clear why he did so but the excuse was that he wanted to search of his dreams ( no offence POD but I dont buy that!) so POD had to find a replacement, this replacement was former ling sacrifice and old friend of POD Jason Truby.
Jason made his first song with POD entitled Sleeping awake(matrix reloaded soundtrack) the song was a big hit. Then he made the album with the band Payable On death (2003).
Then in September 27(MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!) 2004 he released his solo album entitled Guitar Theory with 23 electric and acoustic guitar solos.

Personally I preferred Marcos more than Jason.

POD made various hits including: (in no particular order)
