28,885 posts	Oasis, not TPS!?! Hah, good music tastes... Ben Gibbard is seriously awesome. Brand New Colony is hand dwon my favorite song of all-time. by any band. That's how amazing that song is. Everyone download it. I just think the concept of the band was cool... Jimmy from Dntel and Figurine and Gibbard from All-Time Quarterback and Death Cab combining and doing most of it over the itnernet with Jimym providing beats and Ben providing vocals. Then you add in Jen from Rilo Kiley on backups and it makes for great music.

395 posts	well oasis and the postal serive both amazing. I think its funny that they got the name 'the postal service' by how they exchanged musical ideas. then the real United States Postal Service almost sued them and made them change their name, but then they didn't because the band agreed to play at the anual United States Postal Service convention. The vocals are just beautiful.

13,928 posts	i would kill to find more bands that come close to matching the postal service. i've tryed out dozens of "electronic-pop" groups trying to find something that sounds like these guys, but no-one has come close yet. i was really excited to hear that they have began writing a new album. i only hope they can match the greatness that is give up.
