And he is not blaming her or himself; maybe i'm just to demanding, maybe i'm just like my father too bold/maybe you're just like my mother she's never satisfied. so the peace in their relationship is gone and all the good things he recalls in the song are gone too. that's why the doves are crying. i absolutely adore this song....is probably the best, i think.

Anyways, this song is one of the greatest pop songs of the '80's. Prince is a very good guitar player and, not many people realize that.
