 The American R&B singer R. Kelly is judged since Friday (May 9) in Chicago for child abuse after a video where he was showed with a 13-year-old girl. He might be in prison for a 15-year sentence.
Singer R. Kelly, 41, is currently judged for having filmed his frolicking with a 13-year-old girl. The video had been revealed by "Chicago Sun-Times" on its website. The singer said he was innocent & the girl denied the fact that she was in the 26-minute video, even though her parents, her family, her friends & her professors recognised her.
However, "I Believe I Can Fly" singer may be sentenced 15 years of prison if he recognises 14 accusations.
R. Kelly released his first album 12 Play in 1993. The following year, he produced singer Aaliyah's first album & married her as she was only 15... She died in a plane crash. In 1996, he got successful with "Space Jam" soundtrack, "I Believe I Can Fly" & got 3 Grammy Awards. His double album R in 1998 sold 8 million copies in the United States & got diamond disc in the world. R. Kelly recorded a duet with Céline Dion, "I'm Your Angel" & "If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time" was his biggest hit in France in 2000. In 2002, R. Kelly & Jay-Z recorded the album Best Of Both Worlds. The same year, the child abuse video scandal broke on but R. Kelly continued recording albums like Double Up in 2007.
