The lyrics are kinda scary, but it's Rammstein, so what can you expect" The lyrics are not "scary" in the least bit (compare it to some of their other songs). In fact, they are rather mundane. The song just speaks of two types of seamen: one who spears fish with the harpoon and the soldier (in the Army) who uses the spear to fight other men. Der eine sticht die Lanz' im Heer Der andere wirft sie in das Meer (The one sticks the lance, in the Army/ The other throws it into the sea) Jeder tut's auf seine Weise Der eine stößt den Speer zum Mann Der andere zum Fische dann (Each does it his own way/ One thrusts the spear into the man/ The other into the fish, then) One man is a fisherman, the other a fighter. In my opinion, this is a very profound song.
