last update : 08-01-2013 04:09
Raphaël Haroche is a French actor, guitarist, pianist, singer & songwriter, born on November 7, 1975 in Paris, France to a Russian father & an Argentine mother. In his teens, he started playing piano then turned to guitar. He left university to continue playing music. He appeared in some films but he wanted to be a singer. In 1999, ready to sing, he signed to Capitol.
Influenced by many singers (David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Jacques Brel & Léo Ferré), Raphaël started with French rock. His first album Hôtel De L'Univers, released in 2000, wasn't successful but he wasn't ready to give up. After many concerts in France, Raphaël released his second album La Réalité in April 2003. His songs like "Sur La Route" & "O Compagnons" have been loved by his audience. In March 2005, he released his third album Caravane & once again, the audience loved him. In March 2006, Raphaël received 3 Victoires De La Musique : "Male Artist", "Best Album" for Caravane & "Best Song" for the title track. The same year, he released his first live album Résistance À La Nuit. In March 2008, Raphaël was back with his fourth studio album Je Sais Que La Terre Est Plate, with 11 songs more nostalgic than his previous album. In May 2008, Raphaël & Mélanie Thierry's son Roman was born. In 2010, after his acoustic tour, Raphaël released Pacific 231, followed by Super Welter 2 years later.
