73 posts	i love this song too, probably one of the best on the cd, i think every song ive heard from rhcp is great, true artists...the song makes me think about being sooo in love with someone, but in the end, losing them.

It's the only song I've ever known that I've loved VERY first time I heard it, and I can't get over how truly soulful and poetical it is. It really takes my breath away and I'll never tire of it. It's the only song I know that can really make me cry, and you can really feel how deep it is. It's quite possibly one of my favourite songs ever.

Granted that RHCP are one of the best bands of the 90s and haven't done so bad in the new millenium, but to say that Dosed of all songs is the best ever is a massive overstatement. I think you should appologize. I Could Have Lied, My Friends, Sir Phsyco Sexy, Under the Bridge, Universally Speaking are all much better songs. Dosed runs a close third or forth for best song on By the Way, but it doesn't extend any further than this. Dosed's musicianship are just not up to par with the masterpieces of RHCP. Much less the masterpieces of classic rock and even other 90s bands such as Radiohead.

I realize I'm in a RHCP forum and all and I'm fighting a losing battle because everyone who writes in these things lives in their own little world that revolves around whatever artist they're posting for, but ask any critic, or any musician who is the better band... and redhot i don't want some bull shit response about how "I'm a musician and I say that RHCP rocks over everyone else!" because you've already proven your musical knowledge worthless. Listen to Kid A and then listen to Blood Sugar Sex Magic (although I have no idea why I'm asking you cuz i know you have neither) and try to tell me that RHCP are better musicians than Radiohead. Its hard to argue a point objectively and not sound completely biased when your screen name is "redhot" but you can try, I'll be sure to respond to whatever weak support you have that puts RHCP over Radiohead in the musical kingdom. 9 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal ed keithly-im definately willing to argue rhcp over radioheard-unbiasedly-flea is arguably the best bass player of all time (i would have him 2nd only to john entwistle) and anthony krieg is amazing 2-they also give a much better concert as they had over 150,000 people for one concert-i doubt radiohead can top that

Obviously, the people posting their comments here on the RHCP forums are expressing their love for, in my opinion, one of the original innovators of the punk rock/funk blend of the early '90s. Radiohead is also obviously a huge contributor to the "musical kingdom," as you put it, but that doesn't overshadow the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Michael Balzary(Flea) is one of the greatest and most original electric bassists to ever hit America, or even the planet. I am not a huge Radiohead fan or anything, but I respect their musical talent and I respect your opinion, but to come on here and bash one someone because they happen to like one band over another? That is wrong. I own every single Red Hot Chili Peppers album and I am not strictly an RHCP guy. Music is another dimension. To try to compare two different genres and say that one is better than the other is a completely useless attempt at glorifying yourself and your idolic Radiohead. I think that as long as America is America, every human being should be entitled to their own musical opinion, and if you think otherwise, I would be more than happy to read your reply. P.S. RHCP isn't my favorite band so don't try to pull that crap you pulled on RedHot on me.
