this song is catchy and a lot of fun-- i think rosario dawson does it much better than daphne rubin-vega | 0 @ 27-02-2006 06:05 pixiescanchange | 26 posts
| really? i prefer daphne. she seems to have more of an innocence about her. | 0 @ 01-03-2006 22:53 FrostyCool | 44 posts
| yeah, i think rosario dawson has sort of a sweeter, more innocent sounding voice and looks like she fits the part better. daphne's voice, to me at least, is kinda screechy sounding, and almost sounds overly theatrical. | 0 @ 03-06-2006 18:08 actress_115 | 1 posts

| yeah...i like Rosario Dawson better, but i might have prefered Daphne just becaouse the song "Take me out to nite" or something, well, my friend said that her uncle saw it at broadway in NY,(lucky, right?) and Daphne did that song with no mic! isn't that amazing! | 0 @ 15-07-2006 15:15 rent_is_awesome | 24 posts

Dang! No mic? She's crazy. I much more prefer Rosario's voice over Daphne's, because Daphne does have more of a scratchy, airy voice than Rosario, whose voice is just pure and it may not be the strongest voice in the world, but hey, she didn't do the show on Broadway for years.
I absolutely love this song! It's probably my #1 favorite (because I have more than one, you see. #2 is Take me or Leave me. #3... well, you guys don't care too much so anyway!) of the whole movie. I've seen the play and it's really good live. It all depends on the actors of course. But my how I envy those who get to see it in New York... but it's all good, cause Rent makes the world go round. ^.^ | 0 @ 16-05-2007 21:09 ParanoidFairy | 108 posts
