AboutRiccardo Del Turco is an Italian singer, born in 1941 in Firenze, Italy.
He began his career in 1955 as a singer in Riccardo Rauchi And His Orchestra. From 1963, he has been engaged with Luigi Tenco. In 1966, with "Figlio Unico" ("Only Child"), he began to make itself known to the public. With "Luglio" ("July"), he won Disco Per L'Estate 1968 & went number 1 in the charts: the song remained a 'big wheel' for decades to come. Riccardo would not be able to repeat that, in part because of the uncompetitive nature: in the early '70s, his relationship with the song was very detached, with much success by opening a fine coffee in the heart of Firenze. In the 80s, he returned to Sanremo twice, but it went almost unnoticed, although one of the songs was written by Mogol. In the 90s, he was also a producer - but the traumatic failure of his protege Boris Sanremo persuaded him once and for all that the music did not fit his character.
