In 1973, Manu Dibango created "Soul Makossa". Since then, in 1983, Michael Jackson sampled it on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" & in 2007, Rihanna used it on "Don't Stop The Music". Today, who must give money to who ? A trial should be opened in the next days...
In 1973, Manu Dibango, a Cameroonese musician from Douala, creator of World Music, created "Soul Makossa". It was a success in Africa & in the world. In 1983, Michael Jackson sampled the African artist on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'", from the album Thriller. Dibango started a trial but Bambi refused the copy/paste & the affair was paid with a little money...
In 2007, Rihanna put it back on "Don't Stop The Music", getting worldwide success & waking troubles up again...
Today, Manu Dibango wants to prosecute the singer. Rihanna knows that Michael Jackson did it before her...
To be continued...
