 The Canadian singer will be back on July 7 with a new album, Americana, & the first single is "City Of New Orleans", a Steve Goodman song, adapted in French by Claude Lemesle & sung by Joe Dassin in 1972 under the title "Salut Les Amoureux".
Roch Voisine was recently in studio in the States to record his new album Americana, released on July 7. A very country album which first single "City Of New Orleans" has been recorded in Nashville...
"City Of New Orleans" is a cover in French & English, of Steve Goodman's original song but also of Joe Dassin's song from 1972, adapted by Claude Lemesle : "Salut Les Amoureux" (On S'Est Aimé Comme On Se Quitte).

Joseph Armand Roch Voisine was born on March 26, 1963 in Edmundston, Canada. At 26, his first success was "Hélène" (N°1 during 9 weeks in France) in 1989, followed by other hits, he became a 90's idol like Patrick Bruel. In 2004, he came back with "Tant Pis" which became N°8 in French singles charts.
