They think the song is just saying you're beautiful so I'm going to commit suicide or something. What he meant is, when a normal person is dump by his girlfriend, some people can't take it. The pain is too much to bear that they might kill himself. And what if the girlfriend is too beautiful? Then he might commit suicide. That's another situation. And some guys will do everything for the girl. Especially for beautiful girls. That's why he's saying you had me suicidal. |

Once again, a hip young singer brings "fresh beats" in the form of recycled lyrics, recycled image and recycled sounds with samples from Ben E. King's classic "Stand by Me", and the over-used vocal effects that start at 46" and continue throughout the song. I sincerely hope he's not trying to build "street cred" or "mad rep", because he's not doing himself any favours. While I'd like to give the kid some credit for only being 17, I think all this song proves is that talent comes with age, not with the latest baby-faced rap/r&b/reggae/soul/funk/gospel/whatever artist on the scene. |
