vocal Everything about this song screams mediocre. Once again, a hip young singer brings "fresh beats" in the form of recycled lyrics, recycled image and recycled sounds with samples from Ben E. King's classic "Stand by Me", and the over-used vocal effects that start at 46" and continue throughout the song. My favourite (re: least favourite) part of which is as follows;

Surely this is an in-joke or something, considering he would have only been 9 years old in 1999. I sincerely hope he's not trying to build "street cred" or "mad rep", because he's not doing himself any favours.
While I'd like to give the kid some credit for only being 17, I think all this song proves is that talent comes with age, not with the latest baby-faced rap/r&b/reggae/soul/funk/gospel/whatever artist on the scene.

vocal Ok. This song is great! To the person who said "he would be 9"; ITS JUST LYRICS! Who said he wrote them? The beat is fine too, most beats are spin-offs of other past beats. This kid is 17 or so and his song is #1! Id say hes doing pretty good. Another thing about this song... the song is sweet and has no profanity. The video isnt another one of those "nasty-half-naked-dancing-hoochie-filled-videos" either! It was clean too! GO SEAN KINGSTON!! Btw, he has an amazing voice!

vocal U no wat, I like this song. I think that the sound of his voice would sound weird with any other genre. I love the oldie sound in his voice and yea, I admit that it's stupid to be "suicidal" but that doesn't mean that it's a bad song. I mean, 1 word doesn't calculate the whole thing. It's jes as bad as putting cuss words that make no sense to fill the time.
