This song is a tribute to their friend and anyone else who has been hurt or killed by a drunk driver. So no, it's not an Emo Anthem. I believe it is originally about the ramifications of drunk driving, as portrayed in the video. It could relate to many things though. Tastefully instrumented on piano, then electric guitar "cries out for help" toward the end, much like a victim of a horrible accident. Simple Plan is more than just "teen anthems." |

My stepmom (who I can no longer stand) went out an bought me the CD "Still not getting any" by Simple Plan right after dad died. I pop it in and I flip through the back and look at what's on it. I turn to this song. I sat stupefied while it said every single word I wanted to say to the world at that point.
