Sonia Lacen was born on November 3, 1983 in Miramas, France. At 10, she started her career in festivals & parties & at 12, she took singing & piano lessons. In 1998, Belgian lyricist Philippe Bergman remarked Sonia, she signed to Mercury France/Universal & released her first single "Au Fond De Toi", the French version of Anita Baker's "Body And Soul".
In 2000, composers Fabrice Aboulker & Alain Lanty chose Sonia to play Yasmine in the musical "Les Mille Et Une Vies D'Ali Baba". She performed the song "Tu Me Manques Depuis Longtemps", a duet with Sébastien Lorca. The same year, she has been invited to sing at Johnny Hallyday's concerts. The following year, she released "Le Rêve D'Un Homme", the theme song from Jacques Dorfmann's film "Vercingétorix". In 2004, she played Agathe in Frédéric Berthe's film "Alive", with Richard Anconina, Ginie Line & Maxim Nucci.
In 2006, Sonia re-released her first album Initial, but it has been unnoticed. The following year, she moved to New York. Some of her songs have been available on download.
In 2012, Sonia participated to the TV show The Voice, La Plus Belle Voix, aired on TF1. Jenifer Bartoli became her vocal coach. Unfortunately, she has been eliminated on April 21, along with Blandine Aggery, Lise Darly & Vigon.
