Will "Un Ange Noir", Steeve Estatof's new single, succeed where "Kendy" failed ? The singer, who released his new album Le Poison Idéal, will perform at Paris' Bataclan on November 16, with The Versus.
The first single from Steeve Estatof's second album Le Poison Idéal was named "Kendy". Written by the singer & composed by Romy Chelminski, it unfortunately didn't convince the radios & the audience either, and his album got a lower success : N°68 in May, whereas his first album was N°5 in 2004.
Listen to a short clip of "Un Ange Noir" here.
Steeve Estatof, winner of Nouvelle Star second season, is back with a rock sound, sincere & musically great, even if lyrics get a "teenage" side (Steeve Estatof is older than BB Brunes). Will the singer be lauded again in France ? Not sure...
Terrible rock child, black sheep of real TV, Steeve Estatof played fast, with a shouty style. The winner of the real TV hasn't started there yet. Before "Nouvelle Star" on M6, Steeve has played for 15 years in rock bands, being the singer, drummer or guitarist. What he loved most was Nirvana & Seattle grunge (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden & Alice In Chains). Those fragile musicians were romantic losers who loved heavy rock (Black Sabbath), punk (Sex Pistols) & melodies of English rock (The Beatles & David Bowie). His first album, released 4 years ago, respected the singer's musical taste, helped by singers Axel Bauer, David Hallyday & Daran.
Also, the singer will perform at Paris' Bataclan with The Versus on November 16.
