The news has been a shellshock for Sugababes' fans : Keisha, the last original member of the girlsband, has been fired by the 2 others, Amelle & Heidi. What really happened ?
Sugababes sold 2 million singles everywhere in the world, 5 million albums (triple platinum disc in the UK) & they got many awards. "Push The Button" has been N°17 in France & N°1 in 6 European countries. Their English version of Patricia Kaas' song, "Too Lost In You", has only been N°22 in France.
With "Get Sexy", the young women wanted to get another hit, but since Monday (September 21), Keisha, the last original member of the girlsband, left. The singer should have been fired by the 2 others, Amelle & Heidi !
Recently signed on Jay-Z's label in the United States, the young woman are preparing Sweet 7, their new album, with The Smeezingtons. They want to release it, because Keisha's follower has been found ! It should be Jade Ewen, a 21-year-old singer who has performed at the Eurovision Song Contest in May.
Circumstances about Keisha's departure are unclear. On Twitter, she explained that it wasn't her choice. She talks about "communication problems" & "lack of confidence" & also told her fans she was starting her solo career. Maybe she would call Mutya & Siobhán to recreate the original girlsband ?
