4 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal you guys have totally MISSED THE POINT OF THIS SONG! its not about pizza. its actually partly about sex, and partly about advertising. the beginning is an extended metaphor for sex. its a guy who knows he's gonna score. "this ballgame is in the refrigerator, doors are closed, lights are out, butter is getting hard" butter=his dick. get it? and the rest is about how advertising makes people think they need things and it gets to a point that they need therapy because they are addicted. (cigarrettes, alcohol, drugs, sex, etc.) this song is great. ITS NOT ABOUT PIZZA! the only reason they use that as an example is because they are acting like theyre advertising something. this song is about advertising. got it? good. lol

I was listening to it without having read the lyrics, and I thought he was saying something about his refrigerator that wasn't working and his food that wasn't good anymore ... so he decides to buy a pizza, because of the advertisings that have the power of make you buying anything they want you to. but the sex thing is indeed obvious

The chorus really reminds me of clockwork, like people lined up forever, punching in at a timeclock, working in unison, and people buying the product in unison. Kind of developed, but really, that's what this song means to me. People have just become tiny cogs and sprockets in the big corporate machine.
