Song lyrics
And then you said a little more about your dreams,
Like that was my call. (My call.)
If you would only listen.
Bypassed everything and went straight for the neck.
(I study,)
We're studied.
(Up nightly.)
Dragged you out into the streets,
Before you buckle at your knees. (Buckle at your knees.)

What's it feel like to be a ghost?
(Well, louder now, louder now.)
So what's it feel like to be a ghost?
(Ahhhh.)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well, are you up for, are you up for..)
Are you up for, are you up for this?
(Well, are you up for, are you up for..)

This is quick but not quite painless,
It sits perched on your arm.
Tacky and irrelevant. (So what?)
A permanent reminder that oh christ...
(I study,)
We're studied.
(Up nightly.)
Dragged you out into the streets,
Before you buckle at your knees. (Buckle.)

I said so, look closely,
There might be something you like.
What was it like?
(Oh and I...)
Looked so close, it's been months, who knows if I,
Will get this right.
(Oh and I..)
Look so closely, there might be something you'd like.
What was it like?

Oh and I....

YEah, this is one of the best songs from their new cd, but I only have like five songs from it, I can't wait to hear the rest of their new cd, I know I'll love it. I don't know if it'll be as good as Where You Wanna Be though. and I know it can't be as good as Tell All Your Friends. That's one of the best cds ever. Still... anything Taking Back Sunday does is still amazing.

This song is very original and the guitars rule. Only one of the many songs I love from TBS.

haha. wow i love this song. its fantastic and one of my favorites.

i really hate people who know like 1 song by taking back sunday.(which it's most likely MakeDamnSure because that was all over MTV ) and these people are all like "oh my gosh i love taking back sunday" and they've never heard any other songs by them.. That really agrivates me. :]

ha. the first time i heard this song i giggled because when Adam echos Fred when he says Buckle he kinda moans at the end and i totally laughed to my self there.

I love this freaking song.
If it were a guy, I'd marry it, it's just that good.

I think it's about telling someone they aren't really what they used to be anymore, or at least part of it it, "What's it Feel Like to be a ghost" is asking what it feels like to be a shadow of what you used to be.

"I said so, look closely,
There might be something you like.
What was it like?
Looked so close, it's been months, who knows if I,
Will get this right.
Look so closely, there might be something you'd like."
I think thats where he asks her to look at how he is now and try to accept it and find something she likes about him, because he doesn't know if he'll be able to change back to how he was.

"This is quick but not quite painless,
It sits perched on your arm.
Tacky and irrelevant. (So what?)
A permanent reminder that oh christ...
(I study,)
We're studied.
(Up nightly.)
Dragged you out into the streets,
Before you buckle at your knees."
It's a quick and easy question (why did you change? are you okay? ect.) but the answer is going to hurt, and she already kinda knows it she just wants to hear him say it.
The tacky and irrelevant part is about what an odd time it is to ask that question, but he says so what because it still needs to be addressed, because it's holding back their relationship (A permanent reminder).

As for the begining I can't say that i really know.

I think
"And then you said a little more about your dreams,
Like that was my call. (My call.)
If you would only listen.
Bypassed everything and went straight for the neck.
(I study,)
We're studied.
(Up nightly.)
Dragged you out into the streets,
Before you buckle at your knees. (Buckle at your knees.) "
Talking about their dreams was probably something they were both interested in but since he changed he doesn't care because it's nothing he can control, but she catches him on it and they argue. Bypassing everything and heading straight for the neck is hitting a sore spot and probably the root of the problem and biggest part of the argument.
Dragging out into the streets probably refers to him starting to yell and her buckling at the knees is probably her crying and making him stop yelling.

Yeah idk if it's right, but you can consider it
