Taylor Swift fulfills fan's wish and gets a date

Taylor Swift has responded to a snowballing online campaign asking her to attend senior prom with one Kevin McGuire, a New Jersey teen currently waging his second battle with cancer.

"Kevin, I'm so sorry but I won't be able to make it to your prom," the chart-topper posted on her Facebook page Friday. "But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up ... Would you be my date? Love, Taylor." While Kevin isn't sure he'll be well enough to attend the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1 in Las Vegas, he can't wait to meet Swift. "She's sweet," he gushed to the Courier-Post. "If people could be more like Taylor, the world would be a better place."
