AboutTeri Moïse was an American-born French singer, born on March 25, 1970 in Los Angeles, California and dead on May 7, 2013 in Madrid, Spain. Of Haitian origin, she grew up in South Central quarter. Speaking English at school and French at home, she was bilingual. A brilliant student, Teri decided to study economics at Berkeley University. In 1990, she left the United States and went to Paris, where she studied languages at La Sorbonne. But lovely Teri was more interested by music & took back her electric guitar, offered by her father. She went to California in Los Angeles Musician Institute. After her studies, she settled again in Paris.
Teri started writing and became a backing vocalist. First she was a lyricist, then she was a singer. In 1996, she released her debut album. The single "Les Poèmes De Michelle" was aired on French radios. Teri became famousand appeared on TV. She received Vincent Scotto prize in 1997. In 1999, she released her second self-titled album, performed at Paris' Olympia and went on tour all over the world.
After successfully splitting from her label Source in 2001, she relocated to Barcelona, then to Berlin and Madrid. She has been found dead in a hotel room in 2013.
