Like their contemporaries such as Fall Out Boy, Alkaline Trio and Spitalfield, their music is energetic and melodic. Their Victory Records debut album is titled Controversy Loves Company. theAudition formed in 2003 in the suburbs of Chicago by Ryan O'Connor and Joe Lussa who both shared a common love for music and the desire to tour.
