1 posts | You have to keep in mind, this song, like others at the time, was recorded with the intention of getting back to the Beatles' simple roots (more clearly evidenced with the "Get Back" album- they wanted to 'get back' to their old style). So the very simple, almost predictable ballad lyrics should be taken that way. And of course overall the song is done really well. It's easy to get stuck in your head and the rhythm and melody are catchy and really entertaining. |
