Song lyrics
Turn off your mind, relax
and float down stream
It is not dying
It is not dying

Lay down all thought
Surrender to the void
It is shining
It is shining

That you may see
The meaning of within
It is being
It is being

That love is all
And love is everyone
It is knowing
It is knowing

That ignorance and hate
May mourn the dead
It is believing
It is believing

But listen to the
color of your dreams
It is not living
It is not living

Or play the game
existence to the end
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning

I seem to be the only one in the entire world who thinks the line is actually "the glisten to the colour of your dreams", but as much as I try to hear it as "but listen", it just doesn't sound right.

This version is so much better then the one Our Lady Peace did. There is so much I dont know about these guys (beatles). But I love this song, I love the birds in the backround and I love his voice. They should have used this version in The Craft.
Does anyone have any Idea though as to what it means?

Lennon created the lyrics to this song by using the Tibetan Book of the Dead. This book offers advice to people about to die what to do to help them in the next life.

One of the most brilliant song The Beatles ever wrote...and one of the best ever.

Ringo's drums were inspired, and the overall production was flawless.

How could this song have been produced in the 60's?????

Way ahead of it's time.
