4 posts	okay, first of all the clash is from teh seventies, yeah they had some albums in the 80's, bt they are a 70's punk band, began in 76, went on tour with the sex pistols in 77, had three of their best albums by 79. and i heard somewhere that rock the casbah is a cover of some late fifties folksy band, but the thing about jet fighters doesnt mesh well with that one. Something to think about.

218 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal haha i was gonna say that they started in the seventies!! wish i was around then!! i grew up listening to the clash the ramones and the sex pistols, coz my dad was a huge fan when they were around so he really influenced me to get into punk music!! i love it!! this song is good, not their best but still a fukn great song!

1,757 posts	I got a TV show in Norway to play this one They have this "3 from 1"-day where one person can make three requests.. And usually they play a lot of crap, but I requested this one, The Beatles - Love Me Do and another one, and they played them. It was awesome. Such a great song.

6 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal i actually went online today and looked up "sheriff" which is actually spelt Shareef, and casbah and i thought it was really interesting, that a Shareef is an Arab leader believed to be a descendant of Muhamad, the Muslim God, and a casbah is an Arab country in Northern Africa. Just thought i'd share that little bit of random info! i thought it was neat hah!
