In actuality, the song does not describe the relationship between a guy and a girl, but that of two male prostitutes. If it were to be merely a girl, as you suggested, what would be the functionality of the line 'We're two easy targets for the old men at the offtracks'. The entire song is sung in a plural voice, meaning it cannot be merely 'a girl' doing all the action... »
