Song lyrics
Artist : Doors, The
Title : Break On Through
-----------------
You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day,
Try to run, try to hide,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through to the other side.

We chased our pleasures here,
Dug out treasures there,
Well can't you still recall, the time we cried,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through to the other side.

(Hey, come on!)

Everybody loves my baby,
Everybody loves my baby,
She get high, she get high,
She get high, she get high. Yeah.

I found an island in your arms,
A country in your eyes,
Arms that chain us, eyes that lied,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through Oh! Oh yeah!

Made a scene, week to week,
Day to day, hour to hour,
The gate is straight, deep and wide,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through, Break on through,
Break on through, Break on through,
Hey, hey, hey, hey,
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!

f[/i]This is one of the best Doors' songs. Not the best, but quite good. The Doors are definetly one of the best bands of all time and probably the best classic rock band.

Quite the revolutionary pot smokers unite band. I still love them though. Great style that has never been duplicated to the same effect. Be comforted that people still have sex and do drugs on morrison's grave every night. The French government had to hire a full time security guard and 2 guys to throw out all the used condoms and needles in the morning. Good times.

jawknee3--Read a little more about the band buddy they arnt to big on pot something they were into a little more hardcore scene sure they smoked some kindbud every so often and when they were younger but they were into acid, payote, lsd, etc.

P.S.-this song is a great song but got way to much play which pretty much ruined it and there are WAY better songs that have more depth then this that should have been aired but hey that was up to the narrow minded people like you who didnt like the meaningful shit

I LOVE JIM!

[b]The Doors were the greatest band of all time in my eyes. JIM MORRISON, RAY MANZAREK, ROBBY KRIEGER,JOHN DENSMORE. If Jim didnt die in 71 then they had the chance to be bigger then the beatles. Break on through may not be one of the best songs but it is a good one.

Just everything is good about The Doors. The instrumental part is like, totally great, and Jim's voice is so nice to hear... And what I like about the lyrics, is that everyone can interpret the meaning as he/she wants... they're allround geniuses

The Doors were one of the unique bands out there and, no one was quite like them in their time. This song is so great, I especially like the lyrics.
