The Friday Night Boys CD Review

After a self-released EP and a great following of fans for the pop-punk band from Fairfax, Virginia, The Friday Nights Boys got a dream come true when being signed to a record label that’s had artists such as; Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Panic At The Disco, Fueled By Ramen Records. After being signed they released the That’s What She Said EP, with opening slots for acts like; All Time Low, Automatic Loveletter, and Sing It Loud. After such a strong start, what fan couldn’t expect a strong first full-length album? Well, they got it with the release of Off The Deep End.The Friday Night Boys Album Cover

When I heard about this CD, I wasn’t quite sure how it would turn out. I loved both EP’s I had heard from The Friday Night Boys so I was hoping for the best. That’s when I heard the first song off the new album that was released and is also the first track called Permanent Heartbrake. I think this song is just one of those songs that after listening to once, you just can’t help but sing along. It’s fast paced, catchy, and a really good way to pull anyone into the album. As the second track starts, the albums slows down a little bit with Stupid Love Letter. From my point of view, this song is one of those songs that everyone can relate to. Everyone’s been in a relationship, or had a crush, where they weren’t sure if they how the other person felt and then ended up getting their heart-broken. After this the album really picks up with fast paced tracks like Suicide Sunday and Hollow. Songs like Finding Me Out and Can’t Take That Away keep the album slowed down giving you a break from all the dancing you’ll be doing while listening to this album. They also have some of their songs from their EP’s on the album like Molly Makeout and Sorry I Stole Your Girl, remastered and definitely worth giving your old favorites a new listen.

So, in conclusion, this album is definitely one to check out. If your looking for a pop-punk band that’s not only talented but full of some of the nicest guys around this is one that should get your attention.
